The Green Velvet


Spinach is the star in this smoothie and it gives this drink a deep, rich green color and velvety texture.  This smoothie is less sweet than a traditional fruit smoothie—the sweetness from the pineapple is balanced out by the spinach and cucumber—but it is very refreshing and makes for a great afternoon pick-me-up snack.

Serves 2


  • 1 ½ cups water or coconut water
  • 2 cups packed spinach
  • 1 large cucumber, peeled and seeded
  • 1 ½ cups frozen pineapple chunks

Directions: Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
